"The Common Academy of Art will be running between the 4th - 7th August 2011, Workshop 1a, New Road, Shoreham by Sea ( West Sussex BN43 ). Ahhh lovely sea side!

The Common Academy of Art will be a temporary art school. Over the course of the event the Academy will play host to a wide variety of free activities aimed at all ages and abilities.
All the events have been proposed and organised by volunteers and the Academy is completely not-for-profit. The primary aim of the Academy is to get people involved in arts and craft, so have a look at our Timetable to see what's waiting for you.

Workshop 1a, run by the Empty Shops Network, forms part of this movement, making a previously empty shop in Shoreham-by-Sea available for community use. After searching, in vain, for a location in Brighton, the CAA found its home at Workshop 1a."
